OK FLUX 10.62 SUPPLIER

Agglomerated fluoride-basic flux for Submerged Arc Welding. It is used for multi-run welding of thick section materials. OK Flux 10.62 with advanced slag detachability creates soft transitions to side walls, concave weld bead profiles and very smooth weld beads. The strong grains allow multiple recycling cycles and prolonged flux hopper refilling intervals. The original grain size distribution is maintained which increases product consistency and thus contributes to high quality of the welding joints.

OK Flux 10.62 can be used with high parameters and all SAW process variants such as Tandem, Twin, ICE, 3 or 4 wire process in every multi pass joint including narrow gap. It is suitable for highest demands on impact properties, low temperature toughness, strength and CTOD-values. It is used in the offshore constructions, pressure vessels, power generation, ship building, pipe mills, civil constructions, transport industries, etc. Produces weld metal with hydrogen contents maximum 4 ml/100g, in BlockPac (moisture protection).

Features & Benefits

Consistently High-Quality SAW Wires

ESAB submerged arc welding wires have a well-defined chemistry with intentionally lower tolerances vs. applicable welding standards. Expect high-quality and consistency and be assured that mechanical values, such as strength and toughness, are guaranteed in combination with the chosen flux.

Spools with Less Friction & Easy Decoiling

Our spool types make life easier for our customers. Wire cast is optimized for each individual spool type, so that friction in liners are minimized, decoiling at customers will be defect-free, and self-releasing of end of wire is reliably prevented to avoid interruptions in the operation.

SAW Wires for Your Best Welding Performance

Coppering and helix (axial movement of individual wire loops) are best-suited for customer usage. Coppering with a strong adherence to the wires ensure that no Cu particles separate from the wire during consumption. Thin coppering also means that a minimal amount is brought into the weld metal, but thick enough to provide good electrical conductivity so that the welding current can be transferred properly from the welding nozzle to the welding wire electrode. Helix is well-controlled and limited to eliminate decoiling issues and to ensure the wire goes into the welding equipment without any sideway twist, which could result in lack of fusion in the welding joint. All of these features are deliberately thought-out and implemented for your best welding performance.

EcoCoil for High Productivity Welding

ESAB’s EcoCoil is our 1000 kg (2205 lbs), large-volume package, ideal for long-time, uninterrupted welding contributing to high productive welding operations. The end of the wire is inside the coil for material inspection and quality assurance without destroying the wire packaging. EcoCoil can be partly uwrapped – we only wrap from bottom to top and not back to the bottom – so you can unwrap the upper part for use, while the bottom is protected from rust and dirt. It is prepared for crane handling. EcoCoil also has the “Easy Start” feature, which means when welding is started, no weight needs to be accelerated. This is a big advantage over bulk spools on which the wire loops are tightly wound around the inner core.

Meticulously Manufactured SAW Fluxes

SAW submerged arc fluxes are composed of various minerals obtained from global natural resources. All raw materials are precisely defined with attributes beyond the chemical compositions. Each lot of incoming raw material is individually checked, evaluated and controlled before used in production of our SAW fluxes. Fluxes are then manufactured according to strict formulations and manufacturing processes. As a result, we ensure the highest quality, as well as the highest consistency of our submerged arc flux products. Mechanical values of our fluxes, such as strength and toughness, are guaranteed when used in combination with the correct submerged arc wires.

Ready to Use Submerged Arc Fluxes

ESAB BlockPac (25 kg), buckets (25 kg) and BigBag (1000 kg) deliver fluxes “ready for use” at your site. The packaging material reliably prevents any moisture pick up during storage and transport. BlockPac, buckets and BigBag (which has a multi-layer aluminum liner) can also be stored under severe climatic conditions. As long as the package is unopened and undamaged, it protects the SAW flux from any moisture pick-up.
